H.E. Mrs. Theodora Mircea, Ambassador of Romania to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas with residence in Havana, officially inaugurated the Honorary Consulate of Romania in Nassau. The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Mr. Frederick A. Mitchell, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bahamas, and H.E. Mrs. Jerusa Ali, Director General, whose participation reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing cooperation and friendship between Romania and the Bahamas. During the ceremony, Mr. Bruno A. Roberts was formally appointed as Honorary Consul of Romania in the Bahamas. A distinguished leader in the Bahamian financial and business community, Mr. Roberts brings extensive experience and dedication to his new role. The Consulate will serve as a key platform for strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in education, trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, while supporting Romanian citizens and fostering people-to-people connections. This milestone marks a new chapter in Romania–Bahamas relations, underlining Romania’s growing engagement and partnership with the Caribbean region.
